Want to rough out a Permaculture design for your property or project?! Come join our highly knowledgable Permaculture design instructor Briana Lyon in mapping out your new [or improved] farm/landscape/garden/orchard project.
We'll start with an evening seminar reviewing the nitty-gritty of the Permaculture Design process and give you a little homework time to start your design (with the help of our trusty library) AND then dive into a full day revising our projects and learning even more about how to apply ecological principles to make gardening, farming and landscaping easy, productive & pleasurable.
Ensure you're spending your time, money and energy on the right aspects of your project with great design. Maximize the natural assets your landscape has to offer.
Get introduced to the most efficient, intriguing and productive ways to lay-out a landscape, business or homestead in harmony with ecological principles. You'll learn the fundamental ethics of Permaculture and how they function in design. AND you'll get experienced advice and mapping assistant with the project you want to work on. We'll cover:
- Usage & natural asset planning
- What to put where (zoning)
- How to make the most use of your resources (needs & yields)
- Decolonizing our expectations
AND you'll get hands on practice mapping design improvements.
This is a great teaser for those who are curious about Permaculture but not ready to take the full dive into a PDC or just have a small project they want a little help figuring out how improve.
This course begins with a Friday evening module on theory and a Saturday day site learning practicum.
