From 9 AM - 1 PM @Casa Samasati Labyrinth Garden (on Svaboda Rd., Nelson BC)

Learn how to balance your garden with the elements as you grow Chinese Medicinal herbs and roots with the guidance of traditional Feng Shui.

Why grow your own Chinese Medicinal Herbs?

  • The majority of herbs on the market are still wild harvested in China and 20% of these species are endangered
  • The prices of herbs go up on average 30% every 5 years due to increasing demand and rapidly shrinking supply
  • Many imported herbs are contaminated, even when labelled organic, due to variable farming and processing practices overseas

What are the benefits of Feng Shui gardening?

  • Find the areas that are best suited for cultivating
  • Balance your soil, elements and energy to create a sense of calm and harmony that extends from the landscape into the body and mind
  • Remove elements that may be toxic or stressing

In this 4 hour workshop we'll cover the basics of TCM plants in the Kootenays, Feng Shui design in the landscape and harvesting & processing your own potent Chinese Medicinal herbs. After a morning introduction, our day will unfold with:

~ Light chi gong

~ Grounding planting exercises in our labyrinth garden

~ Discovering the simplicity of growing Chinese Medicinal Herbs and vegetables with Feng Shui in a casual classroom setting

~ Making a healing summer salve from herbs we will harvest from the landscape.

~ An inspiring immersion in Zen & Feng Shui Gardens to leave you feeling both inspired and refreshed

Then Shop for some Chinese medicinal plants & seeds to take home at the Chinese Medicinal Plant Sale (entry fee included in Chinese Medicinal Plants course).

In order to make this course more affordable to students and professionals we are asking attendees to bring their own lunch if required. A light snack will be provided at break.
