You'll leave this course with a preliminary design for your veggie garden, and working knowledge of how to start it. Plus you'll take home some heirloom seeds and know-how of the easiest ways to care for your garden.

Course Outline
Morning 9 AM - Noon (a mix of indoors & out)
- What to grow, where & why!
- Companion planting, square foot gardening, green manures, etc.
- The fundamentals of Permaculture vegetable planning & care
- Soil Preparation and composting
Afternoon 12:45-4:ish (mostly outdoors)
- Review of Permaculture-style garden beds (wicking beds, raised beds, floating gardens)
- Seed starting & thinning
- Wildlife deterrents & attracting beneficial pollinators
- How to buy the right plants & how to transplant them for ultimate veg bliss
- Spend some time planning your vegetable garden this year with the help of a seasoned expert. Bring a google earth image of your property as an aide.
